A hand-cut collage with portraits of an elder, a young girl and a baby of East Asian ancestry. The portraits are photographs cut out and layered above the other, starting with the elder, placed vertically from top to bottom. There are flowers collaged behind the elder and the baby, and the young girl in the centre holds a small bundle of flowers. The background of the collage is a galaxy.

Steph D'Souza (she/her), is a bisexual, multi-racial, 30-year-old artist from Mississauga, Ontario (Treaty 14 land, the traditional territories of the Anishinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, Ojibway & Chippewa, Metis + Mississaugas of the Credit peoples). Since she was young, she has been dabbling in many art forms and has more recently found joy and potential in collage and embroidery. She uses art as a way to heal, learn and grow as a person. The themes she explores in her art include the complexities of her identity and systemic (in)justice, anti-racism/anti-oppression + Indigenous sovereignty & ecological wisdom. She is passionate about community connection and is always looking for ways to use art to facilitate this. She loves to meet new people, learn new things, and share her knowledge. She hopes that her art or workshops help spark something meaningful in others and support them on their journey in life.
